Die Themen „Nachhaltigkeit“ und „Zukunft“ stehen im Zentrum eines kollaborativen Projekts des Künstlers Silvio Motta zusammen mit Thomas Elgner und Ingeborg Waldherr. Sie organisierten ein Sommercamp mit Menschen aus Villingen-Schwenningen, in dem über zentrale Zukunftsfragen und -Themen diskutiert wurde. Als Ergebnis entstand in gemeinschaftlicher Arbeit eine Großplastik im Galeriegarten, die aus gefundenen Gegenständen und Plastikmüll der Städtischen Galerie entstanden ist. Begleitet wurde das Sommercamp durch Veranstaltungen von Vertreter:innen von „Fridays for Future“, „Extinction Rebellion“ und der Studierendenvertretung der DHBW Schwenningen.
The issues of “sustainability” and “future” lie at the heart of this collaborative project by the artist Silvio Motta, Thomas Elgner and Ingeborg Waldherr. They organized a summer camp with people from Villingen-Schwenningen to discuss central questions and aspects regarding the future. This resulted in the collective development of a large-scale sculpture located within the garden of the gallery, consisting of found items and gallery plastic waste. Events by representatives of “Fridays for Future”, “Extinction Rebellion”, and the student union of the local university (Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Villingen-Schwenningen) accompanied the camp.
